WIWTOD: 5/8/13 -
Greg and I ended up on Princeton University’s campus the other day to shoot a little film. It had been raining all day, and the storm broke for about half an hour as soon as we got there. Princeton’s campus is absolutely beautiful, but the rain takes it to a whole different level. The complete soak of the downpour as we were leaving was definitely worth it. Greg got some incredible shots (more of which I will share later). Here are the details of my kit:
- Chino blazer - Lands’ End Canvas
- MTM poplin shirt - Neronote
- Chinos - J.Crew
- Silk knit - Sid Mashburn
- Pocket square - E. Marinella
- Loafers - Loake
I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again; I strongly recommend a brown striped shirt. It fits seamlessly into any wardrobe and is incredibly versatile, although apparently uncommon. Here, it adds another element to the classic blue blazer/red tie combo. I’d also recommend a pair of light brown chinos, in place of khaki or gray. It’s refreshing, and frankly, a lot more interesting with a navy blazer.
